OUR

MISSION

The Tony Vega Band has become one of the premiere up and coming Blues acts in Texas, having shared the stage with the likes of Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Edgar Winter, Lou Ann Barton, Omar & the Howlers, Duke Robillard, Guy Forsyth and Eric Sardinas, among others. Tony has personally traded solos with Bernard Allison, Tab Benoit, Alan Haynes, Jim Suhler and Mark May, just to name a few.
The Tony Vega Band has forged their own brand of hard edged, roadhouse, jump blues rock. What makes them unique is their relentless twin guitar attack, the tightest, greasiest rhythm section since Double Trouble, and their four part vocal harmonies. Are they a blues band? “We’ll always have that blues base. Fortunately, you can’t hide the blues influence. The effect is; we’re a blues band, trying to be an original, Texas rock band… kind of… in the tradition of… Arc Angels, old ZZ Top, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, or even Stevie Ray Vaughan. It’s a special, neat effect.”
